Mission

A major expected output from the project, one  that goes far beyond the present state of the art, is circumventing the problems of the short half-life of most angiogenic factors. This will be done by supplying these angiogenic factors to the magnetic scaffolds at appropriate rates and concentration in a well calibrated time scale. This optimisation of this delivery will allow a controlled bio-availability of growth factors biomimicking that of the physiological tissue repair and remodelling thus enhancing  the clinical potential of the implanted  tissue engineering construct.

Additionally MAGISTER will offer extremely important products like new method of scaffold fixation and precise temperature-base tuning of the scaffolds bioactivity –both options are expected to find important applications in clinical practice.
